Delta Electronics and Singapore Polytechnic Partner to Develop Future Technical Talents

Delta Electronics Singapore and Singapore Polytechnic (SP) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to strengthen industry-academic collaboration and support the development of industry-ready technical talent. Through the partnership, Delta Electronics and SP will collaborate on technical education and training initiatives, giving SP students and staff greater exposure to real-world technologies, professional practices and industry expertise.

“Industry-academic partnerships are important in preparing students for the demands of a fast-evolving technology landscape. Through this collaboration, we aim to create more opportunities for SP students and staff to gain hands-on experience, apply their knowledge in real-world settings, and gain insights into how technology is used in industry,” said Jimmy Wan, Country Manager, Delta Electronics Singapore.

Under the MOU, Delta Electronics will support SP in creating more opportunities for students and staff to engage directly with industry. These will include internships, industrial attachments, technical projects, seminars, and workshops that bring together students, educators, and industry professionals.

Delta Electronics and SP will also work towards developing internship programmes that combine mentorship with hands-on projects aligned with Delta’s areas of expertise. SP staff will have opportunities to participate in industrial attachments at Delta Electronics’ local and overseas facilities, gaining practical exposure to the company’s technologies, applications, and technical expertise.

The partnership will also explore opportunities to incorporate industry technologies and practices into SP’s diploma and Continuing Education and Training (CET) programmes. By connecting classroom learning with industry applications, the collaboration aims to help students develop practical skills and knowledge relevant to the evolving needs of the workplace.

Through the two-year collaboration, Delta Electronics and SP aim to build stronger connections between education and industry, while creating more opportunities for knowledge exchange, experiential learning, and technical capability development.
