Delta Advances AI Data Center Development Through Strategic Partnerships in Malaysia
As Malaysia accelerates its push toward large-scale AI adoption, industry experts are coming together to address the infrastructure challenges shaping performance, efficiency, and data sovereignty. Against this backdrop, Delta Electronics, a global leader in power management, participated in the Future-Ready AI & Infrastructure Forum, hosted by Maistorage, a subsidiary of Phison Group, on 28 January at The Everly Putrajaya hotel; where industry stakeholders gathered to explore how next-generation infrastructure and high-performance storage are enabling real-world AI deployment.

Delta’s participation featured a keynote presentation by CK Chong, DSO, Delta Electronics, titled “Accelerating Malaysia’s AI Ambitions: Overcoming Architecture Bottlenecks with High-Performance Storage.” The session highlighted how infrastructure optimisation, particularly across power, cooling, and storage layers, is becoming a critical enabler of faster and more capable AI computing. By rethinking traditional architectures, organisations can scale compute performance while maintaining efficiency, resilience, and operational control.
At the centre of Delta’s showcase was its AI Cloud Data Center (AI CDC), integrated with Phison and MaiStorage co-developed aiDAPTIV+ technology. Designed to support the growing demands of large-scale AI training, the combined solution addresses common VRAM limitations through advanced storage-tiering approaches. By expanding effective memory capacity, organisations can improve computing efficiency and performance while making more effective use of existing power, cooling, and data centre resources.

The forum also marked a strategic milestone with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Delta and MaiStorage. A member of the world-leading supplier of NAND flash controllers and storage solutions Phison Group, MaiStorage is an integrated circuit (IC) design and NAND storage technology provider that caters to the data center, AI applications and the automotive industries in Malaysia. Working closely with its parent company Phison, MaiStorage develops and delivers enterprise SSD and AI-enabling storage technologies tailored for the Malaysian market, combining global expertise with local market requirements. Building on Phison’s over two decades of experience and know how, MaiStorage offers enterprise SSD solutions and aiDAPTIV+ AI LLM training and fine-tuning platform on-premises to enhance performance, security, and AI-driven innovations for organizations in Malaysia. Signed in the presence of senior leadership from both companies, the MOU reflects a shared intent to deepen technical collaboration and strengthen the Taiwan–Malaysia technology corridor.
The partnership is anchored in proven technical outcomes, with Delta and MaiStorage showcasing results from a successful proof of concept that demonstrated solution maturity and readiness for high-performance AI deployment across enterprise and infrastructure environments.
Through its participation in the Future-Ready AI Forum, Delta reinforced its commitment to enabling practical, high-performance AI infrastructure through collaboration and innovation. By combining AI-ready power and thermal solutions with advanced storage technologies, Delta continues to support Malaysia’s ambition to build resilient, efficient, and future-ready AI ecosystems.
