Delta Electronics and ITE Collaborate to Build Singapore’s HVDC Capabilities for Next-Generation Infrastructure

Delta Electronics Singapore and the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate on developing capabilities in High-Voltage Direct Current (HVDC), supporting the skills development needed for emerging power infrastructure and high-performance computing applications.

Under the MOU, Delta and ITE will work together across three key areas: establishing an HVDC training system that simulates workplace scenarios, developing the capabilities of ITE staff and students through industry attachments, internships and projects, and co-developing Pre-Employment Training (PET) and Continuing Education and Training (CET) course modules.

The collaboration will provide ITE students and staff with greater opportunities to gain practical exposure to HVDC technologies and industry applications, while helping strengthen the pipeline of technical talent equipped to work with evolving power infrastructure.

As AI and high-performance computing drive increasing demand for power-dense computing infrastructure, efficient and reliable power delivery is becoming increasingly important. HVDC is emerging as an important technology for supporting these evolving requirements, creating a growing need for technical expertise and workforce capabilities in this area.

Through the collaboration, Delta will contribute industry knowledge and expertise to support ITE’s training and capability development. The partnership will also provide opportunities for closer interaction between industry and education, helping align technical training with the changing needs of the power and infrastructure sectors.

Over the next five years, Delta and ITE will explore and develop collaborative initiatives to strengthen HVDC training and build industry-ready capabilities for the evolving demands of sustainable next-generation power infrastructure.
